Dr. Robert P. Lee is a global high-tech pioneer, entrepreneur and investor. He spent many years as a senior executive at Fortune 100 companies, including IBM, SMS, Symantec, Insignia, Inxight and Accela. In 2002 he founded Achievo Corporation, serving as Chairman and CEO and growing the company to more than 2,500 people by 2008. Dr. Lee has also been an MBA professor at the CUHK Business School (Professor of Entrepreneurship Practice, 2010–2014; Adjunct Professor, 2014–2020).

Dr. Lee holds a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and master’s and doctoral degrees in computer science from UCLA. He is based in Silicon Valley.

Dr. Raymond Chien has long held senior executive roles across Hong Kong’s private and public sectors. After earning his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1978, he entered public service, serving as Managing Director of Lam Soon Hong Kong Group; Chairman of the ICAC’s Advisory Committee on Corruption; member of the Hong Kong Executive and Legislative Councils; Chairman of MTR Corporation Limited; Honorary President and former Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries; and Chairman of the Hong Kong/EU Economic Cooperation Committee. He has served as a director of HSBC Holdings, China Resources Power Holdings, The Wharf (Holdings) and Inchcape, and is the former Chairman and Executive Director of Hang Seng Bank.

Mr. Xiangyang Yang is Chairman of Shenzhen Yuanzheng Investment and an entrepreneur and angel investor with over 20 years of experience. After graduating from Tsinghua University in 1987 he taught at Shenzhen University before founding his own ventures, going on to co-found and invest in more than ten high-tech enterprises in biopharmaceuticals, healthcare and information technology. Mr. Yang has served as a member of the 4th and 5th Shenzhen CPPCC, Chairman of the Tsinghua Entrepreneur Association, Executive Vice President of the Shenzhen Innovation CEO Club, Chinese Chairman of the Huahuitong Investment Committee, and an investment partner at SAIF Partners.

Mr. Yang holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in applied mathematics from Tsinghua University.

Mr. Philip Leung is a high-tech executive, entrepreneur and investor with deep experience helping foreign technology companies enter China and Chinese companies expand abroad. He is co-founder and chairman of the TTIS (Technology Transfer & Investment Service) platform and an adjunct professor at the University of Hong Kong. He has held roles including President for East Asia at Compaq, the first Managing Director in Taiwan for AMD, Asia-Pacific President at Rackable/SGI, President of Boxue online bookstore, U.S. President of VTech, partner at Fenox Venture Capital, President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.

Mr. Leung holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Hong Kong and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has taught at City University of Hong Kong, the University of Hong Kong, CUHK and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Mr. Charles Cheng is Chairman of Centenary Group, with more than 20 years of experience in international sales, marketing, mergers, acquisitions and strategic planning across roles as entrepreneur, CEO and angel investor. He previously served as VP of Marketing at Arrow Electronics, Director of Marketing and Business Development at Agilent Technologies, and Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning at Oak Technology, and as Vice President of the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Hong Kong and President and board member of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong West.

Mr. Cheng holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from Oxford University and an MBA from Stanford University.

Mr. Lawrence Yee has served on the board of AAMA Greater Bay Area since January 2015, having served as President (2015–2016) and Co-President (2017–2018). He has chaired the Cradle Program Committee since its establishment in 2016. He previously worked at Philips Electronics, NCR, Motorola China and Tandem Computers China, then served as Senior Vice President at Dun & Bradstreet International and co-founded the Hong Kong commercial credit bureau with the Hong Kong Association of Banks and the HKMA. Since 2011 he has been co-founder of Hong Kong Innovation Centre Ltd., focusing on international technology transformation, and co-founder of a Hong Kong blockchain technology company focusing on regional data/information infrastructure and applications.

Mr. Yee holds a B.Sc. in mathematics/statistics from the University of Hong Kong and an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Mr. Chuck Cheng holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Hong Kong, a master’s in management from Stanford University and a master’s in engineering from Cornell University, and was involved in founding four startups in Silicon Valley after graduation. He is the founder of AppoTech, with over 20 years of experience in IC design and management. AppoTech is a chip (IC) design company with wholly-owned operations in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Taiwan. With a forward-looking grasp of market trends, Mr. Cheng led his team to launch a series of market-leading products, growing revenue from zero to RMB 800 million within ten years and earning a place for two consecutive years (2010 and 2011) on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 China — recognised as one of China’s fastest-growing companies.

Mr. Eric Ho has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He has held roles in the software department of Huawei (Shenzhen), as head of IT and business systems at SmarTone, and in IT positions at PCCW, Bank of America and Emperor Group, as well as CIO of HKBN and Director of IT at Ocean Park Hong Kong. In 2013 he won the Hong Kong CIO of the Year (Medium Enterprise) award.

Mr. Ho holds a B.Sc. from the University of Hong Kong, an MBA from an American university, a master’s in accounting from an Australian university, and the CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) qualification.

Dr. Fei Zhou is Chairman and CEO of Shenzhen Baimai Technology Co., Ltd. He founded Baimai Technology in 2015 to build an industrial inspection robot OS, deploying unified systems across many large factories in the display panel, new energy and semiconductor industries to support digital quality management. Before founding Baimai, he spent nine years at 3M Cogent, a global leader in fingerprint and iris recognition security.

Dr. Zhou holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Harbin Institute of Technology, an MBA from HKUST, and a Ph.D. from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Mr. Kevin Yuan has long held senior management positions at major financial institutions and listed companies, with years of cross-cultural experience in Beijing, New York, Hong Kong and London. He has served as Senior Deputy General Manager of Bank of China’s U.S. branches, assistant to the President at Bank of China head office, Managing Director and Deputy CEO of China Merchants Securities International, Chairman and CEO of China Merchants Securities (UK), and a director of China Merchants Securities Asset Management (Hong Kong). Dr. Anessa Liu is Chairman of New Vision International Holdings Group, with distinguished achievements in business, social service and philanthropy. She leads 16 enterprises across investment, medical biotechnology, digital technology and cultural technology. In public service she holds positions including member of the Shandong CPPCC (Hong Kong), elected councillor of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong, and Executive Vice President of the Federation of Hong Kong Shandong Community Organisations. In 2023 she was named an Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur of the Greater Bay Area and a Forbes China ESG Innovation & Technology Entrepreneur. In philanthropy she has organised more than ten charity events on the mainland, providing free surgery to over a thousand impoverished elderly cataract patients — work featured by Wen Wei Po in 2015.

Mr. Jacky Liang has over 15 years of experience in international telecom business development, having worked at leading global carriers including KDDI, KPN and China Unicom International, plus eight years of tech entrepreneurship. He is founder and CEO of TelcoX and an executive committee member of the IEEE Hong Kong CT/OES Joint Chapter. He has been a full member of the Pacific Telecommunications Council and participated in the SubOptic Foundation’s global submarine cable decarbonisation research project.

Mr. Liang holds a B.Sc. from South China University of Technology, an M.Eng. and M.A. from City University of Hong Kong, and an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is currently conducting medical-AI legal research at HKU’s Faculty of Law, focusing on the legal, ethical and regulatory frameworks for AI.

Mr. M Y Wong is a founding director of Chong Yin Investment Ltd. and previously served as Senior Vice President of Royal Philips, where he worked for 30 years. He has been active in public affairs for over 40 years, serving on numerous government committees and public organisations, including as a panel member of the Innovation and Technology Commission’s Small Entrepreneur Research Assistance Programme, member and Deputy Chairman of the Hong Kong Productivity Council, director of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, and Chairman of the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute. He was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 1999 and awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (2012) and Silver Bauhinia Star (2018) in recognition of his contributions to public affairs and to the advancement of Hong Kong’s innovation and technology.

She was President and co-founder of wireless power startup ConvenientPower and co-chair and co-founder of the Wireless Power Consortium. She has held senior roles at the Harvard Business School Asia-Pacific Research Center, UBS, SBC Warburg, HSBC, Continental Grain, Blanc de Chine and Macy’s California. Ms. Tang is also active in public service as a member of the Hong Kong Government’s Central Policy Unit, the Lotteries Fund advisory committee on social welfare, and other statutory bodies, and serves on the boards of medical and educational non-profits including Queen Mary Hospital and the Independent Schools Foundation Academy.

Mr. Keke Zhang is an advisor to the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Science and Technology Alliance and an expert on the Greater Bay Area group of Shenzhen’s Decision-making Consultation Committee for the pilot demonstration zone. A 1982 graduate of Wuhan University, he worked in various Shenzhen government departments, serving as Deputy Director of the Shenzhen Science and Technology Bureau, Deputy Director of the Shenzhen Hi-Tech Office, and full-time Deputy Chairman (bureau level) of the Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology. Mr. Xiaoxiong Yao is Chairman of the Shenzhen Angel Investment Association and a member of the Fund of Funds Committee of the Asset Management Association of China. He previously served as Chairman of Shenzhen Angel Investment Guidance Fund Management Co., Ltd., Vice President of the Shenzhen Capital Group, and head of the policy and regulations and comprehensive planning divisions of the Shenzhen SASAC. The Shenzhen Angel Fund of Funds he led, a government strategic fund, focused on the “Four Explorations” to address industry fundraising and investment challenges, and is the only government guidance fund in the country to be publicly commended by the State Council and promoted as a model by the NDRC.

Mr. S.C. Mak has worked in venture capital and private equity for 30 years. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Greater China Committee of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association and as a selection committee member for the Hong Kong Science Park’s incubation and accelerator programmes, as well as a judge or mentor for startup programmes at several universities. A serial entrepreneur, she is founder and CEO of iDNA (Genebridges Biotechnology), a clinical molecular geneticist certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG), a specially-appointed technical expert of the NMPA, and President of the Beijing chapter of BayHelix. She has received the McCormick Scientist Award, the Incyte Invention & Innovation Award and the Morgan Lewis Entrepreneur Award.

Dr. Ring earned her bachelor’s degree at Wuhan University, a Ph.D. in molecular biology and genetics at Cornell University, and completed postdoctoral work in medical genetics at Stanford University.

Mr. Ricky Lei is a representative figure among China’s early IT-industry professional managers who transitioned into investment. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer technology and applied mathematics from the University of Hong Kong in 1982 and served as a systems analyst at Honeywell and Vice President of HP China. In 1999 he left HP to join Founder Group, serving as President of Founder Electronics and Founder Digital. After 2002 he turned to investment, founding the Huachuang Shengjing Fund and initiating the Jingyi Angel Commune, and in 2014 co-founded and served as Vice Dean of the Angel Growth Camp. He has long served as Founding President of AAMA Beijing and concurrently as President of the Zhongguancun Angel Investment Association and director and investment partner of several tech companies. The “Cradle Program” he led has incubated dozens of listed companies.

Mr. Charles Yen is Chairman of Taiwan’s Entrepreneurs’ Co-creation Platform Foundation and serves as an independent director of Chunghwa Telecom, Sinyi Realty and Qisda, a director of the Alibaba Taiwan Entrepreneurs Fund, and a director of several charitable foundations. He provided audit and professional advisory services at Deloitte in Taiwan, China and the U.S. for 30 years, serving as a partner at Deloitte & Touche, General Manager of Deloitte Management Consulting, Clients & Markets Leader partner for Deloitte China, and General Manager of the H&Q (Asia Pacific) venture capital group. In 2012 he co-founded the AAMA Taipei Cradle Program and served as its principal; the platform now comprises 225 startups and 85 mentors.

Mr. Yen holds a bachelor’s in business from National Cheng Kung University and a master’s in business from National Chengchi University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in both the Republic of China and the State of Illinois, USA.
